Allergies in foods are developed when our body misinterprets the proteins that enters our body as a foreign substance and creates antibodies to nullify or fight it. Foods allergies vary from person to person and some food allergy are also severe that can even lead to death. For that reason, we should be cautious of the food that we take cause we might have allergy or developed an allergy from it.
One of the best ways to prevent food allergy is to double check the food content of the products that you buy in stores. Check the label if it has allergens or better yet, do some research regarding the terminologies of the contents of those products just to make sure.
Take note also of the common foods or products that produces allergy such as peanuts, milk, cheese, shrimp, chicken, and eggplant.
Always be cautious when you eat in restaurants. Ask the waiter for some of the ingredients that are not stated in the menu like the oil they use in preparing the food. You might not be aware but they could have used peanut oil which you are allergic into.
Other than being cautious with food that you eat, you should also understand that sometimes it is inevitable to eat some of the foods that you are allergic with. So it would be likely better if you are aware of the symptoms of allergy and be prepared of the counter acts that you are going to do if the symptoms does exists.
